Fatigue and dizziness can affect anyone at anytime. It is usually a symptom caused due to stress or is a sign of other health problems. Fatigue refers to feeling tired and less energetic to carry out any activity. It is known by many other terms like exhaustion, lethargy and weariness. Dizziness is described as a feeling of lightheadedness or unsteadiness.
These conditions debilitate a person physically, thus affecting the very quality of life. There are innumerable diseases and disorders with extreme fatigue and dizziness featuring as one of the main symptoms.

Causes of Dizziness and Fatigue

Menopause

Menopause is the slow decline in the reproductive hormones of women which occurs between the ages 40-50. It is believed to occur approximately 12 months after the last menstrual period and is a natural biological process which affects a woman physically as well as emotionally for a period of time.
It can disrupt sleep, trigger a feeling of sadness and loss, and make one feel low in energy. Women approaching or undergoing menopause commonly complain of fatigue. Some of them even feel dizzy at times. Menopause is one of the common reasons behind the symptoms of fatigue and dizziness.
In case the given signs are severe, you need to seek medical assistance. However, keep in mind that menopause is not an illness. It is only a natural process which every woman has to undergo.

Anemia

Anemia is the medical condition which is characterized by a low count of erythrocytes or red blood cells, which has a direct effect on the quantity of hemoglobin. Since hemoglobin undertakes the function of transporting oxygen along with the blood, the quantity of oxygen supplied to different body cells gets severely reduced.
Such a condition, in turn, leads to a pale appearance, palpitations, shortness of breath, tiredness, and fatigue. There are four basic causes for anemia. They are, hemorrhage (bleeding), hemolysis (excessive destruction of red blood cells), absence of normal hemoglobin, and underproduction of red blood cells.

Stress

Stress is defined as the normal psychological and physical reaction to a demanding circumstance or situation. The moment your body perceives a threat, a number of hormones get released inside your body. All these hormones collectively work to trigger your natural fight-or-flight response.
Even though stress is natural, there is a need to manage it, otherwise it could have very harmful effects on the body and give rise to several other health problems over a period of time. One of the signs that indicate that your body is being affected by stress are fatigue and dizziness.
Which is why it becomes essential to understand the difference between good and bad stress and undertake things like yoga and physical exercise and follow a healthy diet in order to keep it in check.

Hypoglycemia

Hypoglycemia is described as the abnormally low level of blood glucose. Since glucose is the body's main energy source, one experiences fatigue and dizziness. Low blood sugar level is not a disease but a symptom of numerous conditions. Some of them are fever and diabetes.
There are certain methods which can provide immediate relief from these symptoms; these include eating foods high in sugar which will bring the blood glucose level back to the normal range. However, for permanent treatment of hypoglycemia, and thereby fatigue and dizziness, one requires determination, and carrying forth treatment of exact underlying cause.
There are certain temporary methods of easing the underlying cause of fatigue and dizziness. It has been seen that taking plenty of rest and eating high-energy foods definitely provides relief. However, if you have been suffering from these symptoms for a long time, you need to visit a doctor.
