Causes

Heat Rash

Prolonged exposure to the sun cannot be tolerated by the body. When the facial skin gets exposed to UV rays for considerable amount of time, the body responds in the form of forehead heat rash. During summer months, it is very common for people suffering from heat rash.
The body finds it very difficult to deal with excessive heat exposure Although, this is not a serious skin problem, it makes the affected area itchy and irritated. Although heat rash, normally affects the neck area, nowadays, forehead has also become a common site of occurrence of heat blisters.

Contact Dermatitis

Contact dermatitis is a condition that involves development of rash and is accompanied by inflammation of skin. Forehead coming in contact with skin irritants such as metals (nickel), soaps containing harsh chemicals or poison ivy, can lead to contact dermatitis.

Rash resulting from 'medicine side effects' is a very common phenomenon. An allergic reaction in the form of forehead rash is bound to occur when the body is unable to tolerate these medicines.

Insect Bite

An insect no matter how small it may be, can cause a rash when it bites. An insect or a sting bite of fleas, red ants or spiders, can cause rash on the forehead. However, a forehead rash will be seen only in people who are allergic to insect bites.

Sudden appearance of rash on forehead can also be due to an allergic reaction from certain foods. Thus, in case you notice rash occurring immediately after meals, it indicates ingestion of allergic foods. If only rash is visible and no other side effect occurs, it suggest a mild food allergic reaction.
On the other hand, if development of rash is accompanied by facial redness, swelling of the face and breathing problems, it means a severe food allergic reaction and requires urgent medical treatment. Avoiding exposure to allergic foods is the best way to prevent blisters from forming.

Impetigo

It usually occurs in children and may appear as fluid blisters or red sores that break open to form a yellow-brown crust. In either case, impetigo symptoms are normally seen on the nose, forehead and around the mouth.
Trauma such as an insect bite that damages the superficial skin gives a perfect opportunity for the bacteria to enter the inner layers of the skin and cause an infection.

Acne

Blisters on forehead that do not go away so easily could mean chronic conditions like acne and even rosacea. Acne that is prevalent in adolescents is caused due to overactive sebaceous glands of the skin. A person with acne gets small to large-sized pimples on the facial area, more specifically on the forehead.

Rosacea

This is an inflammatory skin problem in which the facial skin appears unusually red and shows the formation of red, pus-filled blisters. Rosacea symptoms come and go but usually worsen during winter.
