Hormonal Imbalance in Men

A decrease in the level of testosterone, a steroid hormone found in men, leads to hormonal imbalance in men. This usually occurs in case of aging men. Older men (in between age 45-55) suffer from a condition known as andropause which similar to menopause in women. In this, level of testosterone decreases, which results in physical as well as mental changes.
Therefore, aging is considered as one of the most important causes of hormonal imbalance problems in men. However, these days signs of hormonal imbalance are also found in case of younger men due to several reasons like stress, erratic lifestyle, diet habits, etc.
Exposure to pollutants and petrochemical products can also increase or decrease the level of hormones in the body, leading to an imbalance. One should also note that the hormonal imbalance can also be caused due to physical trauma or during cancer treatment.
