Tips to Lose Stomach Fat

Lack of enough physical exercise in the daily routine, and wrong choice of foods are mostly responsible for fat deposits in teenage girls. Therefore, the simplest technique of losing belly fat involves exercises that burn belly fat and the right kind of diet. Here are a few helpful tips.

Tip #1

The first thing that needs to be done is to prepare an exercise routine, and follow it regularly to get rid of that extra fat. Cardiovascular exercises daily for 30 minutes is a must.
It could be walking, running, jogging, dancing, swimming, or any other such activities that increases the heart rate. You must select one such activity that you enjoy doing the most. This will help you to stick to it for a long time.

Tip #2

Do some exercises that focus upon the toning up the abdominal muscles.
Lie down on your back on a flat surface. Bend your knees, and place the feet on the floor. Now, tighten your abs muscles, and try to raise the pelvis a little. Hold the position for about 5 - 10 seconds, and then go back to the initial position. Repeat it for 5 times.

Tip #3

The core muscles of the abdomen should be worked out too.
Place both your hands and knees on the floor, and put the entire body weight on them. Allow your belly to relax. Then take a long, deep breath. While exhaling, keep the stomach muscles tight, and try to draw in the belly button towards the spine. Hold it for about 10 seconds. This should have at least 10 to 20 repetitions.

Tip #4

When you want to lose extra fat from the stomach area, do not try to skip meals, or eat less. It is bad for your overall health. Rather, follow a healthy, balanced diet.
Whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins, give you all the nutrients that are essential for normal functioning of the body. There should be three whole meals, and three snacks in a day.

Tips #5

Keep a watch on the number of calories in your food. Your calorie intake should not exceed beyond 1400 calories per day. It should consist of healthy fats and carbohydrates.
Reduce your daily calorie intake by cutting down on fatty foods, sugary foods, and processed foods. Such foods are quite tempting, and it is difficult to resist them. However, they do not contain enough nutrients and will add to unnecessary fat in the stomach region.

Tip #6

You have to drink more glasses of water. It helps to flush out the unwanted sodium, sugar, and other toxins from the body. Ideally, you should drink 8 - 10 glasses of water daily. Avoid soda, and other such beverages, as they contain processed sugar that gets collected as fat under the skin.

Tip #7

Along with the diet and exercises, it is equally important that you keep your mind stress-free. This is because stress often decreases the rate of metabolism, and leads to fat build up in the body. A good amount of sleep also relaxes your mind and body, and helps you in losing weight.
You need to have patience and strong determination to continue with the diet and exercise, to get the best results.
Keep a good support system around you that consists of your parents and close friends. Tell them about your plans, so they can provide you with many positive inputs. They can even motivate you in your workouts, and encourage you to carry on with the proper diet.
