Inversion Table Benefits

An inversion table is an equipment that allows you to hang upside down or be in an inverted position.

Inversion therapy is mostly practiced for the treatment of back pain. Under this therapy, the patient has to hang upside down. This position can be achieved by using an inversion table, which is a padded table connected to a metal frame with hinges.
The inverted position can be achieved by strapping yourself onto the table, and ensuring that the safety gear is locked in place. Gently, allow the table to flip over, thus inverting the body. While medical professionals do not consider it to be an effective treatment for pain and express concerns about risks involved, there are some people who swear by it.

Advantages

In yoga, there is an inversion posture to help improve the blood circulation. An inversion table just makes achieving this posture easier. The improved blood circulation helps energize your body.
This equipment helps support the vertebrae, and is also used in spinal decompression therapy. It is said to reduce the pressure on bones and improve flexibility. It reduces the tension on the muscles by making them less tight. Thus, it reverses the effects of gravity that compress the spinal cord, thereby creating a traction force that decreases the pain.
You should invert yourself for a few minutes daily to feel the benefits of this exercise table. However, the user must invert to a small angle initially. Thereafter, gradually increase the angle, going up to 90 degrees in the end. You should invert to 90 degrees, which is full or total inversion, only when you're ready for it and comfortable with it.
It also increases your balance and stability. Usually, gravity leaves you shorter every day, as it compresses your spinal cord. This table stretches and elongates your spinal cord, thus making you longer every day. It can help reduce the strain on your body.
This equipment is like a flexible bed that twists and turns with you. There are different models that come with additional features. The user needs to strap himself properly to avoid a fall. It is believed that using this equipment might help treat problems related to prolapsed organs, which are organs that fall from their normal position. The increased flow of blood to the head can also help in improving the user's concentration and focus.
Teeter's inversion tables are certified by Underwriters Laboratories (UL). You can use the table with gravity boots, which provide relief from headaches, by increasing the flow of oxygen to the brain. Another benefit is that it heals and regenerates the discs in the vertebrae.
However, an inversion table should not be used by pregnant women and people affected by glaucoma, high blood pressure, or heart disease.
